Have you ever stopped to think, How did I get to where I am right now in life? The school I go to, the major I chose, the relationship I am in, the house I live in, the job I work at, the family I have, the hobbies I participate in…How did those come to be? I was reading about how Moses was saved from the Egyptian infanticide. So many things needed to take place for him to live: he had to survive childbirth, be hidden by his mother, then placed in a basket to float down the Nile. He could have drowned, been killed, or neglected. Just by “chance” Pharaoh’s daughter finds the basket. Not only that, but she actually wants the baby. Miriam asks Pharaoh’s daughter if she can find a nurse for the baby and she trusts her to do so. She allows Miriam to take Moses back to his own mother and she raises him for a while. Then Moses goes back to Pharaoh’s daughter, who still wants the baby. And to top it off, Pharaoh allows the baby to live.
So many events had to transpire for Moses to live and none of them were by accident. The same is true of you. God has allowed you to live up until this point in your life and none of it was an accident. He had a purpose for allowing Moses to live and He has a purpose for keeping your heart beating this very moment. Everything in your life has led to this point in time. Don’t waste it with the trivial things in life. Find what God wants from you and walk in it.
