Imagine you went on a trip around the world. You were able to see the Eiffel Tower, Sistine Chapel, Taj Mahal, Great Wall, Great Outback, Grand Canyon, Stonehenge, Mayan Ruins and many more sites. When you came back, your friend asks you where you were. You say, “Oh I was just traveling.” They ask you, “How was it?” And you say, “It was Ok. You should try traveling some time.” Would a response like this cause the friend to want to travel? I think not. However, if when you got back you actually had a story to tell-a story filled with details, passion excitement, descriptions, pictures, and memories-I would imagine this would cause the friend to want to travel. The same is true of Christianity and our testimony. We can tell people to become Christians all we want. But what they need to hear is your story. How did Jesus change your life. And when you tell it, tell it with details, passion, excitement, descriptions, pictures, and memories. Let Jesus tell His story through you telling your story. Perhaps it’s what a person needs to hear to be saved.
