Draw Near to the Throne of Grace

So often when I find myself having a bad day or week, I seek consolation in things that seemingly have the ability to console. Truth is, they never do. Our tendency is to find comfort or to fix the problem with anything and everything except the one thing we need most….God. I’m not sure if we doubt God’s ability to bring us comfort and fix the problem or if we simply don’t like the means He uses. But one thing I do know, when we bring our struggles to God, there is always grace. “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Heb. 4:16 Bring your struggles, your problems, your requests to the throne of grace. It is there and only there that you and I will truly find the help we need.
