Encourage One Another

The author of Hebrews writes, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,  not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another. (Heb. 10:24-25)
The danger for every church has always been to believe the lie that everybody is doing well.  Our tendency is to see church functions (for us, Friday Nights/Sunday mornings) as the only time that we need to reach out to one another.  When the truth is that most of us need specific, directed encouragement every week, if not everyday.  I want to challenge you to think of 2-3 hours a week that you are not using (and everybody has at least that much) and use that 2-3 hours to meet with someone in our body for the purpose of encouragement.  Ask them how they are doing, how can you be praying for them.  You will be amazed at not only what God will do, but also what you will learn about people.  Hope each of you have a great week in the Lord
