Should we love terrorists? Should we love racists? Should we love pedophiles? Should we love homosexuals? Should we love abortion doctors? Should we love greedy people? Should we love a thief who steals from us? Should we love people who slander us? Should we love someone who murders a family member? Should we love prostitutes? Should we love drug addicts? Should we love selfish co-workers? Should we love rude neighbors? Should we love Muslims? Should we love people who lie about us? Should we love the drunkard? Should we love those involved in sex trafficking? The answer is quite simply, YES. We don’t love them by “accepting” them for who they are. We actually love them by not “accepting” them for who they are. They are a sinner in need of Jesus, just like you and I are. We don’t love people by “accepting” them. We love them by reaching them. Jesus never once said to anybody, “I accept you just as you are.” He said, “I came to save you from who you are.” Loving like Jesus is caring more about a person’s eternal life than offending them or how they have offended us.
