With every new child, I am reminded that our God is a God who creates life…not just physically, but spiritually. Seeing a new baby come into existence is nothing short of a miracle; a miracle not brought about by science or mother nature, but by the God who governs the universe. Our salvation and the new life that God gave us is no less miraculous, and in many ways is more. God took us who once were dead and without hope and He has made us alive together in Christ. He has given us life. I’m not sure we can comprehend this fact or even truly appreciate it as much as we should, until we see what He saved us towards and what He saved us from. I will pray diligently that my newborn son will use his life to know God and be used of God. And I will pray diligently that you will use your new life in Christ to know God and be used of God. So if I may encourage you: know Him and be used of Him. He has given you life. Use it with all your might.
