Paul tells us to be, “Children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.” Phil 2:15-16
Not much has changed in regards to the nature of man–we still live in a crooked and twisted generation. Yet we are children of God, and are charged with the responsibility of shining as lights in this world. Hold on to the words of God and let them be the source that fuels your light. Your labor for Christ and your running after Christ are not in vain. Jesus has given us a great and glorious commission: Go and make disciples. This starts with us piercing the darkness of our jobs, schools, families and friends with the light of Christ. This is God’s purpose for your life.
