Some 1,980 years ago it was the week before Jesus died. What was Jesus thinking the week before he died? What would you have been thinking? To imagine that almost 2,000 years ago, Jesus knows that He is going to save you and me and He is about to die to make that happen…it’s almost impossible to wrap our minds around the fact. He’s never even met me, he’s never even met you, not to mention the fact that we were haters of Him. And yet 1,900 years before either you or me will be born, Jesus is getting ready to die so that you and I may live. Let this truth sink in over the next 2 weeks. In a sense, what we do in our life was set in motion two millenniums ago. And now here we are, each with a choice: to let this truth change our lives, or to let our lives neglect this truth. Be encouraged and be hopeful that God has been at work in your life centuries before you were born.
