The Psalmist writes in Psalm 107:9, “For he satisfies the longing soul and the hungry soul he fills with good things.” Are you hungry for the Lord? I find myself answering yes and no to that question all throughout my Christian walk. The times it is No, is not because I am not hungry, but because I am so filled and overstuffed on other things…I have no room left in my appetite for God. I want to encourage you this upcoming year in 2012 to stay hungry for Jesus. To do so, we may need to put aside things in our life so that we have an appetite for Him. I want us to be a church that drinks at the fountain of Christ and eats at the table of the Lord…and no matter how much we eat and drink, we still want more. At whatever cost, stay hungry for Jesus.
