Well, Elijah Moses Zwitt is here (9.3lbs, 21.5 inches). Thank you everybody for your prayers. The baby is completely healthy; Lauren is in pain, but is recovering well. It will be 4-6 weeks before she and the baby will be at church, but please feel free to stop by our apartment during that time.
I hope your work and/or school week is going well. This Friday we will continue to look at The Gospel. If you missed last Friday, let me clear up some things. First, I want to encourage you not to just come to topics that “you are interested in.” You may be saying, “I’ve heard the Gospel (or some rendition of it) and hence do not need to come.” That presumes to tell God what His Holy Spirit can teach us and what He cannot. This topic is (in my estimation) the most important material I will ever teach on and the most important topic you will ever hear. It is not the traditional “Jesus died on the cross for your sins and if you believe in Him you will be saved” type of message. Most renditions of The Gospel that have been preached are either incomplete or down-right false. I pray that you will join us and come with hearts open to His Spirit. Have a great week in the Lord.
