Exodus 23:20-21 reads, “Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared. Pay careful attention to him and obey his voice; do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your transgression, for my name is in him.”
I find much encouragement in these verses as we can be sure that God will always prepare the way before us. Today not only do we have His angels to do this work, but we have His very own Spirit. God has work for you and me to accomplish and the good news is that He has already prepared the path for us to take. Imagine if I told you to build a house. Impossible, right? But what if I bought all the material, wrote all the blueprints, and hired laborers to do specific tasks. All you needed to do was follow my orders. I think at that point you would simply need to have faith that what I was telling you was the correct plan and the best plan. God has given us His Word, His Spirit, His Bride and Himself to accomplish our purpose in life. All we need to do is “pay careful attention to Him and obey His voice.”
