What Kind of Father Would Do That?

Paul writes in Romans 8:32, “He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?”  Being a father, I began to think, What kind of father would plan, purpose and send His very own Son to a world where he would be hated, mistreated, rejected, misunderstood, tortured and eventually killed?  What kind of father would ever do that?  I can’t begin to understand even thinking of doing that to one of my own sons.  What kind of father would do that?  And then I am reminded….the kind of father that is seeking to purchase more children to be adopted into His family….and the kind of father who has the power to raise His Son from the dead.  God is not withholding from you…He gave His very own Son for us.  How will He not graciously give us all things?  Believe that….trust that.
