“Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work”–2 Tim. 2:21.
God wants to use you, but He first needs to make you useful. If you’re not sure what your purpose in life is right now, if you don’t know what direction you are to take, if you are wondering if God is even working in your life, please let me encourage you that God is working and He is working towards something. But His working right now may simply be to make you useful. If I have a dull knife, before I can use it, I need to make it useful. That means I need to sharpen it. Embrace God’s sharpening of your life right now, even if it takes a while (sometimes we are really dull). When He has finished making you useful, you will be ready for every good work.
