I saw on the news the other day that a man had a heart attack while eating at a restaurant called “Heart Attack Grill”. He was eating a 6000 calorie burger named “Triple Bypass”. All I could think was, “Well, they told you what you were getting and therefore he knew what he was getting into.” Sometimes we see danger right in front of us: it’s packaged in a little box with the word “Danger” on every side. But we can’t seem to keep from opening it. This was true in the Garden of Eden. God told them the nature of the tree and what would happen if they ate of it. Yet Adam and Eve just couldn’t resist. Sometimes the most harmful things to us are the things right in front of our face, labeled as harmful. Don’t let Satan deceive you into thinking you will be the one exception to escape the sting of sin. If it looks like sin, smells like sin, tastes like sin, sounds like sin, feels like sin…..it’s probably sin.
